Ballinrobe Golf Course lies just outside the town and visitors are most welcome. It is a fabulous parkland golf course, recently being voted the best in Connacht

And if you are self-catering, there are 3 supermarkets in Ballinrobe; Tesco, Supervalu and Centra and there are mini-markets in the local filling stations which are normally open late

A "must have" experience is to take one of the daily cruises on Lough Corrib, which depart from Lisloughrey Bay. The cruises are: (a) History Cruise, duration 1hr 15mins, boarding 10.30am (b) Island Cruise, duration 1hr 30 mins, boarding 2.30pm (c) Music Cruise, duration 1hr 30mins, boarding 5.45pm

The village of Cong is a 15 minute drive away and has become a very popular tourist attraction on the back of the 1952 movie The Quiet Man, starring John Wayne and Mareen O'hara. There are ample shops, restaurants, cafes, gift shops, art galleries and beautiful riverside walks to make a visit to Cong very worthwhile

There is a bike hire shop in Ballinrobe for those guests who would like to see the local scenery whilst taking some exercise. Details can be obtained from Michael
